A man lost his life in a brazen mid-afternoon shooting in White Oak, and now authorities are on the hunt for the suspects and their vehicle. Around 2:18 p.m. yesterday, the streets near the intersection of Jacks Run Road and Lincoln Way became a crime scene with nearly 20 evidence markers splayed out around a motorcycle, which was later towed from the location. Witnesses described hearing between five and nine gunshots; one individual told WPXI that they saw someone step out of a vehicle, open fire on a person on a motorcycle, and then speed off.
The aftermath found Kenneth Hayman, 33, of McKeesport, was taken to a nearby hospital after the incident but later died from his injuries, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police are now searching for a dark gray or black Chevrolet Silverado with Pennsylvania license plate HNL-9509, linked to the shooting, as detailed by WTAE. The truck, which has tinted windows, rain guards, and beige running boards, was seen carrying three to four masked men at the time of the attack. Authorities believe the suspects may be armed with long guns and are considered extremely dangerous.
This incident has prompted strict advisories by officials, who are urging residents to stay vigilant and report any information that may lead to the apprehension of these armed and dangerous suspects.
