The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of Pardee Place, near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, where the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to Sunrise Hospital with what has been described as "substantial injuries," News3LV reported.
The area north of the Sahara on Pardee is expected to be closed for several hours following the incident, and LVMPD has confirmed that they have not made any arrests, with the suspect still on the loose. As of now, Crime Stoppers is encouraging anyone with information to come forward and ensure anonymity by calling 702-385-5555, according to a statement obtained by FOX5 Vegas.
Metro detectives remain on the scene, conducting their investigation. The police have yet to release any descriptions of the suspect or additional details about the events leading up to the shooting. This is an ongoing situation, and updates are anticipated as the investigation unfolds.
The LVMPD urges the public to stay away from the affected area to allow for an unhindered investigation.
