A man was injured in a road rage shooting in Houston’s Third Ward on Sunday night, the Houston Police Department said. Officers received a call about the shooting around 9:15 p.m., and although no victims were found at the first location, they later found the man at a gas station near I-45 and Scott Street, according to KHOU.

The incident started when another vehicle cut off the victim’s car on the feeder of I-45. Lt. J.P. Horelica said, “There was some kind of road rage -- the other vehicle fired shots, striking the victim's vehicle and also hitting the victim two times,” as reported by ABC13. Police later found the victim’s blue Ford pickup truck at a gas station with several bullet holes in the driver’s side window and door.

A man was shot twice while driving with his girlfriend on a feeder road of Interstate 45 in Houston and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. His girlfriend was not hurt. Police say six to seven shots were fired and the suspects are still unknown. People with information are asked to contact the Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults Division or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
