For drivers navigating the streets of Manatee County, a gentle reminder has surfaced from the local government – it's time to touch up on the rules of yielding, particularly when it comes to those right turns on red lights. According to a social media post from Manatee County, Florida Government, there lies a hierarchy in the traffic dance, one that prioritizes green lights over the eager red-light waiters when it's time to turn or U-turn. "A vehicle turning right on red must yield to vehicles making a U-turn, as U-turning vehicles with a green light have the right-of-way," explains the government's reminder posted online.
In a recent Manatee County, Florida Government's Post, the county reminded drivers to “be aware of your surroundings and only proceed when it is safe and you will not interfere with other traffic.” The message emphasized the importance of following traffic signals and maintaining awareness to prevent accidents and ensure road safety.
