Marietta will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony on November 8th. The event, organized by the Horace Orr Post 29 American Legion in partnership with the City of Marietta, will begin at 10:40 a.m. with a parade starting on Roswell Street and arriving at Marietta Square at 11:11 a.m., reflecting the time of the 1918 Armistice.
As per the City of Marietta release, the parade will feature veterans, marching bands, drill teams, floats, and military vehicles. World War II Veteran Charlie Duncan, US Army, will serve as Grand Marshal.
After the parade, a ceremony will take place at Glover Park just before noon, including speeches, a gun salute, and Taps.
