Memphis' Homecoming Week this year features collaboration among three local universities, the University of Memphis, LeMoyne-Owen College, and Rhodes College, hosting a series of events that recognize their individual histories and promote collegiate unity. According to FOX13 Memphis, the week-long activities began on Beale Street and included LeMoyne-Owen's worship service yesterday, with the main event being the Magic Midnight Madness and Fireworks show.

The University of Memphis did not hold the traditional parade and organized a block party called Roar Fest instead, scheduled for this Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Luther C. McClellan Alumni Mall, according to a report from WREG News Channel 3. The universities are hosting events including LeMoyne-Owen College’s Royal High Tea and the Mr. and Miss LOC Coronation, while Rhodes College is commemorating its 100th anniversary with Rhodes Night at the Overton Park Shell.

According to Action News 5, the University of Memphis’ schedule includes a "T-shirt Giveaway" tomorrow, "Make & Take: Street Signs" on Wednesday, and the "ROAR Fest Blood Drive" on Thursday. These events aim to promote Tiger pride and support a sense of community among students, alumni, and supporters of the schools.

The weekend schedule includes the Memphis Tigers football game on Saturday against the South Florida Bulls, with tailgating on Tiger Lane and the Tiger Walk, during which fans accompany the team and the Memphis Spirit Squads into the stadium. At the same time, the Homecoming Greek Fest, Night at the Museum at the University of Memphis Art Museum, and the continuation of the Roar Fest Blood Drive will take place as part of this year’s homecoming events.
