The Mesa Public Library is spicing up this Halloween season with its Halloween Boo events catered to preschoolers and their families across all four of its locations. Commencing with a kick-off event on October 23 at the Mesa Express Library, and rolling through till October 30, the library collective has an array of festivities planned, replete with trick-or-treat stations, outdoor activities, and crafts.
According to MesaNow, a free book from Kids Need to Read and a safety-themed coloring book from the City's MesaMoves program will be handed out to children while supplies last. Families are encouraged to show up in costume and bring treat bags to get the full Halloween Boo experience. The events are primarily aimed at preschool kids, but siblings of other ages can also participate in the merrymaking.
Notables such as Mrs. International Global 2025, Lindsey Roman, are slated to attend and partake in the events alongside library staff. Community partners such as Mesa Parks and Recreation, Falcon Field Airport, and Mesa Police will also contribute to the festivities by providing themed crafts and activities. This multifaceted approach aims to create a dynamic and interactive environment for attendees.
MesaNow further elaborates on the schedule, noting that the Red Mountain Library will host their event on October 29 with special guests from Mesa Solid Waste, Falcon Field Airport, and Mesa Fire and Medical joining the celebrations. Additionally, Self-Growth Through At-Home Gardening, a grantee of the Mesa Youth Climate Action Fund, will distribute free at-home gardening kits at the Dobson Ranch Library event on October 30. The kits will include a pot, seeds, soil, and instructions – one per family, as the community pitches in to blend education with entertainment.
