The holiday spirit is gearing up in Mesquite, Texas, with the return of the Mesquite Police Santa Cop Toy Drive. The Mesquite Police Department recently announced on social media that they are now delivering donation boxes to local businesses and organizations willing to participate in this annual charity event. The initiative aims to bring holiday cheer to families in need, ensuring that every child has a gift to unwrap this season.
The department is currently accepting new, unwrapped toys until the second week of December. According to the recent Facebook post, interested parties can email [email protected] to request a donation box to be placed at their location. Delivering on the promise of community and care, these boxes will likely become temporary homes to the expressions of generosity from around the area.
Participation from local businesses and community members plays a critical role in the success of the toy drive. "Let’s work together to make this season brighter for families in need!" the Mesquite Police Department urged in their social media post. With the collection ending in mid-December, the gathered toys will then be distributed to children across the community, making the holiday season a bit warmer for those who might otherwise have less.
