The Haltom City Police Department has successfully located a previously missing autistic juvenile, who had been reported missing since last Thursday. The 15-year-old was found near his residence by the same patrol officer who had taken the initial report. According to the Haltom City Police Department, the boy is now back home safe, and the police have thanked everyone for their efforts and prayers.
Before his safe return, the police had asked for the public's assistance to quickly locate the juvenile. The young Black male was last seen in the Boulevard Heights area, near Camp Bowie, wearing blue cargo-style pants with a blue hoodie and gray Nike high top shoes. According to the department's previous release, the 5’ 4” tall youth, weighing approximately 120lbs and with shoulder-length hair of a blonde and brown mix, needed assistance to safely make his return.
The case kicked off an immediate response from both the local police and the community, with details of the missing juvenile widely shared across social media and local news outlets. The outreach demonstrated a collective urgency to provide support for those most vulnerable among us, especially children with special needs who may be unable to advocate for themselves effectively.
