The AMBER Alert for a 13-year-old girl from Grapevine has been canceled. She was found safe in Houston. The Grapevine Police Department said on Wednesday that the girl was not abducted and was trying to return to her home in Georgia on her own, according to KHOU.
On Tuesday night, authorities thought a girl had been taken. Later investigation showed she was safe and found at a bus station in Houston, in police custody. A white pickup truck was initially mentioned but was later ruled out. Police asked anyone with information to come forward.
A teenager in the Dallas-Fort Worth area triggered an Amber Alert after being seen near a Ford F-150 outside the Grapevine Public Library. Authorities later confirmed the truck was not involved, as reported by News Break. The girl, whose family recently moved from Georgia, has been safely recovered. Police have not released details on why she left or wanted to return to Georgia.
