The Maui Police Department recently updated the public on the status of Mwolana Maybelle Aliksa, a 44-year-old woman from Kahului who had been missing since June 18. "Ms. Aliksa was located and found to be in good health," the Maui Police Department confirmed on their official Facebook page. They also expressed gratitude towards the public for their assistance during the search.
Previously, the police had sought help from the public to find Ms. Aliksa after she had not been seen since being dropped off at the Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center around 6 p.m. According to an earlier report by Hoodline, she was reported missing by family members following several days without contact. The search for Aliksa was challenging, as her cell phone was turned off and her silver-colored Toyota Corolla with the Hawaii license plate LNP 727 remained unfound at that time.
The initial alert described Ms. Aliksa as Caucasian, 5-foot-1, weighing about 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Her last known attire included a black jacket, black shirt, and black leggings. An appeal was made for anyone with information to step forward to assist the police with their search, with instructions to contact the Maui Police Department at their non-emergency number or to dial 911 in an emergency, citing MPD report number 25-018300.
