Dr. Melanie Nadler Litt, a Marietta dentist reported missing earlier this week, has been found safe after a bystander recognized her and contacted authorities. The Cobb County Police Department confirmed that Dr. Litt was located as of noon yesterday, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
Billy Robertson, who saw Dr. Litt near the Town Center Mall in Marietta, approached her and asked if she was a dentist, noting he had her remove his wisdom teeth years earlier. Robertson then called 911, which led to her safe return.
The circumstances of Dr. Litt's disappearance remain undisclosed. Authorities are not providing details about her location or the events leading up to her being found, according to 11Alive.
Dr. Litt was reported missing last Tuesday morning after not arriving for her shift at Family Dentistry at Seven Hills in Dallas. Her car was found abandoned behind a business off Barrett Parkway.
Dr. Litt has served the Marietta area since 2004 and graduated at the top of her class from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
