On September 26, Modesto police arrested two people reported by Target’s Loss Prevention for stealing items at 3900 Sisk Rd. The suspects were quickly detained by authorities, as reported by the Modesto Police Department.

Angel Cabrera, 18, and Christian DiazSilva, 19, were arrested in Modesto after trying to steal merchandise. Both are from Salinas, California, and all stolen items were recovered and returned to the store, as stated by the Modesto Police Department.

According to the Modesto Police Department on their Facebook page, Cabrera, wanted for a double-homicide on September 19 in Salinas, CA, was taken into custody by Salinas PD in Modesto. DiazSilva was booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on burglary charges. Sgt. Mike Hicks of Modesto PD said, "This arrest is just one example of the violent criminals who commit these types of offenses. We are dedicated to keeping our community safe. Not in Modesto."
