On Monday, the Monroe Police stopped a vehicle connected to a suspected arson on E. Fourth St. The 44-year-old male driver admitted to starting the fire during questioning, as reported by the Monroe Public Safety Department.
A 31-year-old female passenger was found with controlled substances obtained without a prescription and was taken to Monroe County Jail. Jail authorities later discovered she had hidden drug paraphernalia upon admission, as stated by the Monroe Public Safety Department.
According to the Monroe Public Safety Department on their Facebook page, a woman was arrested on charges including possession of analogues, cocaine, narcotic paraphernalia, and smuggling contraband into a correctional facility. The department is investigating a fire on E. Fourth St., a vehicle linked to a male driver, and evidence found during her booking.
