Early this morning, tragedy struck on a road in Laurel, as an adult male died in a single-vehicle collision involving his motorcycle. Howard County Police are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal accident on Route 216.
Signs of a crash and the quiet that followed told a tragic story early this morning. Around 5:30 a.m., a 2012 Honda CBR600RR motorcycle went off the road just past Crest Road for reasons still under investigation. The crash was sudden, and the rider was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Howard County, the authorities have not yet released the identity of the man, pending notification of next of kin.
