An unfortunate incident unfolded in Orange County this past Saturday evening when a 54-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving a Honda HRV. According to ClickOrlando, the crash occurred at the intersection of Oak Ridge Road and Winegard Road around 7:37 p.m. Both the motorcycle and the Honda were heading east on Oak Ridge Road when the tragic event took place.
The Florida Highway Patrol report, as cited by ClickOrlando, highlights that the Honda, driven by a 69-year-old Orlando woman, did not observe the motorcycle in front and collided with its rear. A 2015 Taotao motorcycle, which was in front of the CR-V, was propelled from the collision's impact, resulting in the rider being thrown onto the road. The rider, a 54-year-old Orlando man, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
WFTV additionally confirmed that the driver of the Honda HRV involved in the crash remained at the scene unharmed.
