FOX5 Vegas reported that the incident occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. and involved a gray Cadillac, a white Subaru, and a gray Hyundai. Traffic lanes were closed following the crash, slowing the flow of traffic as authorities addressed the scene.
According to the KTNV report, all southbound lanes of I-11 were blocked due to the accident, and traffic was backed up as far north as Harmon Avenue, suggesting travelers seek alternative routes. The congestion was a direct result of the morning's disruptions, as commuters faced significant delays while emergency teams and highway patrol officers worked to clear the vehicles and assist those involved.
In the aftermath of the collision, one person, who was a passenger in the Hyundai, was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. News 3 LV detailed that Trooper Shawn Haggstrom with Nevada State Police confirmed the movement of the crash to the right shoulder, allowing for the subsequent reopening of the freeway.
