The City of Hilliard's Recreation & Parks Department introduced Logan Quelette as their latest recruit, taking on the role of Maintenance Technician. He is now responsible for the upkeep of the city's 25 parks, attending to tasks ranging from landscaping to road and pavement repair. An essential part of his job, especially with the winter season on the horizon, will include actively participating in snow plowing operations throughout the city.
Coming to the job with a robust experience in the municipal maintenance sector, Quelette pairs his practical skills with knowledge from a degree in Exercise Science obtained from Columbus State Community College. Additionally, he has spent a significant part of his career in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. This blend of hands-on technical experience and a background in sports science seems to set him up well to comprehensively attend the recreational spaces around Hilliard.
Quelette isn't just all about work, however. His passion for staying active translates into his leisure time activities as well, where he indulges in playing softball. He's a part of a family that includes a twin, who is merely a couple of minutes his senior, and a 145-pound Rottweiler named Koko, which certainly promises that he's familiar with the joys and challenges of maintaining active spaces for a community's use and enjoyment.
