New York City streets are filled with cyclists today as Bike MS 2025 begins, raising funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. As per PIX11, the event starts and ends at Pier 76 on the West Side, where participants can choose between a 30-mile route around Manhattan or a 50-mile course extending over the George Washington Bridge into New Jersey.
According to CBS News New York, the 30-mile route offers views of city landmarks, including the Battery Park Tunnel and the Brooklyn Bridge. The longer 50-mile course allows riders to cross state lines before returning to Manhattan.
The ride, which began around 7:30 a.m., is organized with the support of the NYPD and the Department of Transportation, which coordinated temporary road closures to ensure safety. The event is expected to conclude around 3 p.m. with a Finish Line festival at Pier 76, where cyclists will gather after completing their routes.
