North Las Vegas Honors Veterans with Free BBQ and Resource Fair on Nov. 11

The City of North Las Vegas is gearing up for its annual Veterans Day Barbecue and Resource Fair, inviting the community to gather in tribute to the nation’s service members. The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Veterans and Community Resource Center, located at 3090 E. Centennial Parkway. Open to the public and free of charge, the family-friendly celebration will feature a barbecue and provide access to various resources and services dedicated to supporting veterans, as per the city's announcement.

Since its inception in October 2022, the North Las Vegas Veterans and Community Resource Center has been a pivotal conduit, connecting over 1,900 local veterans to essential services—all without a price tag. Resources available through the center encompass employment opportunities, housing assistance, education pathways, mental health support, as well as finance and legal guidance. It's a veteran-focused event that puts the needs of service members front and center.

During the event, veterans and their families will have the chance to engage with various local organizations on-site.
