On November 15, starting at 8 a.m., Liberty Park will host the Turkey Giveaway and Resource Fair, generously offering free turkey and bread to the first 500 households. Later that day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Silver Mesa Recreation Center invites you to the Feast of Gratitude—a Thanksgiving celebration complete with food, drinks, and live entertainment. Participation is limited, with registration required and a nominal fee of $2 per person.
But that's just the start of the celebrations. According to the event schedule posted on the City of North Las Vegas' official website, the Feast of Gratitude will make its second appearance on November 18 at the Neighborhood Recreation Center. Guests can enjoy a shared meal and various activities from 4-7 p.m., open to the first 300 registrants. As December rolls in, the North Las Vegas Police Department connects with the public at Alexander Library from 6-7:30 p.m., offering insights into community safety.
The city's 5th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony is set to shine on December 4, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Liberty Park. This event promises to set the holiday mood with hot cocoa, music, and ornament making. For those who prefer a chillier experience, the 2nd Annual Pool Plunge will be held at Silver Mesa Pool on December 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering a daring dip into icy waters, followed by cozy refreshments and crafts. Later the same day, senior citizens can dance the night away at the Senior Winter Ball at the recreation center, with admission priced at $5.
The quirky 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Run takes off on December 13 at Craig Ranch Regional Park, a chance for participants to sport their most outrageous holiday sweaters during a 3K/5K run. Each runner receives a complimentary elf hat, with a $5 registration fee. Following the run, Silver Mesa Recreation Center hosts Breakfast with Santa, featuring pancakes and a variety of festive activities, limited to the first 200 attendees. The Neighborhood Recreation Center also offers Tacos with Santa on December 16 from 4-7 p.m., including toy giveaways and games, free to the first 300 registrants. The season of giving culminates with a Toy Giveaway at Liberty Park on December 20, ensuring free toys for children ages 1 to 15 years old while supplies last.
