
The NYPD is on the search for a suspect after a burglary and sexual abuse incident in Brooklyn. According to their report, in the early hours yesterday, an unidentified male entered a woman's residence through a kitchen window in the area close to Pilling Street and Evergreen Avenue. The 43-year-old victim was assaulted while she slept, as the intruder attempted to suffocate her with a pillow and then restrained her wrists before making unwelcome sexual advances, including performing a lewd act, as detailed in a recent social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers.
This unnerving episode unfolded within the 83rd Precinct's jurisdiction, placing the neighborhood on edge as law enforcement intensifies its efforts to locate the perpetrator who, after the attack took the victim's cell phone and watch and then fled the scene, the current whereabouts of the suspect remain unknown thus heightening the community's anxiety and sparking a call for heightened vigilance among residents. The suspect was last seen clad in a white baseball cap, black sweatshirt, dark pants, black sneakers, and was carrying a dark-colored backpack.
