A double homicide in South Jamaica, Queens is now under NYPD scrutiny after two men were felled by gunfire last Friday night. As reported by ABC7 New York, the victims, aged 37 and 41, sustained gunshots to the head around 11:45 p.m. on 116th Road. The younger man was declared dead at the scene, while the other succumbed later at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. The names of the deceased are withheld until families are notified.
Currently, there have been no arrests in connection with the murders. FOX 5 New York states that the police responded after a 911 call reported shots fired and are investigating whether there was any connection between the two men.
