A man is currently being sought by the NYPD for an assault that occurred inside a commercial establishment on Broadway in Brooklyn. According to an alert from NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident unfolded on September 29, at about 5:30 P.M. at a location identified as 1501 Broadway, falling under the jurisdiction of the 83 Precinct. An argument between the unidentified assailant and a 46-year-old male victim escalated to violence when the suspect brandished a knife and subsequently stabbed the victim in the throat.
Authorities are currently actively to seek leads and have requested the public’s assistance. They have made an appeal through social media for anyone with information to come forward. "Have any info? DM @nypdtips or call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)," the social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers stated. The severity of the victim's injuries has not been disclosed to the public at this time.
The search continues for the perpetrator, with law enforcement urging witnesses or those with any relevant information to contribute to the case. The NYPD has not yet released a detailed description of the individual responsible for the attack nor have they stated a motive behind it. Residents and business owners in the neighborhood have been put on alert as the suspect remains at large.
