Queens has seen a series of thefts, with the New York City Police Department investigating two individuals suspected of carrying out multiple robberies, primarily from a moped. According to a social media post by NYPD Crime Stoppers, these incidents occurred within the 109 and 115 Precincts, with the first reported on October 9 and the most recent last Tuesday.

On October 9, a 40-year-old woman was the victim of the first reported assault when two individuals took her purse during the daytime near College Place Boulevard and Avery Avenue. Approximately forty minutes later that afternoon, a 59-year-old man was also targeted when his crossbody bag was forcibly pulled from his neck in a separate incident within the same precinct. This second incident occurred in the 109th Precinct.

Authorities have provided additional details regarding the series of daylight robberies. On October 10, within the 115th Precinct, a 43-year-old woman was pushed into a gate as the same individuals attempted to take her necklace. Last Tuesday, the suspects continued their activities, first removing a necklace from a 12-year-old girl around 2:20 p.m., and less than an hour later, assaulting a 17-year-old girl to take her jewelry.
