Manhattan's 57th Street subway station was the scene of an incident last Saturday when two men were violently attacked by suspects now sought by the NYPD. The episode, which unfolded just after 11 p.m. on the southbound F train platform, witnessed one man slashed in the hand while another was pushed onto the tracks, ABC7NY reports.

The attackers, described by police, were two men who initiated a dispute with the victims leading to a physical confrontation. One of the suspects, sporting a ski mask and purple jacket among other items, brandished a sharp object and slashed a 39-year-old man during the altercation. Concurrently, his accomplice pushed a 37-year-old man onto the subway tracks. The suspects managed to escape the scene before authorities arrived, according to details shared by AMNY.

First responders transported both victims to Weil Cornell Medical Center where they were deemed stable. The nature of their dispute, and the motive behind the attack remains under investigation.

Police are urgently calling for public assistance in tracking down the assailants, and the investigation is ongoing.
