The halls of The Ohio State University were abuzz with opportunity as alumni from the Fisher College of Business converged on campus with a mission: to inspire and recruit fresh talent for their respective companies. At the recent Fisher Fall Career Fair, held at the Ohio Union, former students now turned professionals staffed booths representing businesses nationwide, each one eager to tap into the potential of current Buckeyes.
Among the alumni was Anna Sarmir, who graduated just last May with a bachelor's degree in business administration, and who now works as a management trainee with Cintas, a company specializing in commercial uniforms and safety products. The Ohio-based enterprise, along with other companies, showcased a keen interest in Ohio State students, who demonstrated impressive readiness to take on the challenges of the job market. "I think everyone has come very ready with their resumes – very professional," Sarmir said, according to OSU News. She couldn't help but notice the polished demeanor of the students. "I have not had a single student who has not brought their A game. … They’re all looking like candidates."
The career fair exemplified a full-circle moment for many alumni participating as recruiters. Returning to the university grounds, they carried with them not just the weight of personal accomplishments but the collective legacy of a university's training oven, now seeking to give back to the institution that had shaped their own careers.
