The National Weather Service Wind Advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT and covers central, northern, northwest, southern, southwest, and western Oklahoma, as well as parts of northern Texas.
The National Weather Service warns that the gusty conditions may cause unsecured objects to move, tree limbs to fall, and isolated power outages. Drivers, especially those operating high-profile vehicles, are urged to use caution.
After the advisory expires, conditions are expected to improve, with clear skies tonight and a low near 52 degrees. Tuesday will be sunny with a high around 74 degrees and north-northwest winds between 6 and 9 mph, as per the National Weather Service.
The rest of the week will generally remain sunny, though showers and thunderstorms are possible on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will stay in the mid-70s, with a slight chance of rain continuing into the weekend and highs near 76 degrees on Sunday.
