Oklahoma City residents can look forward to a stretch of sunny skies and warm temperatures forecasts. Today's weather update indicates clear conditions with the mercury set to climb near a comfortable 86 degrees. South winds are expected to range from 10 to 13 mph, with potential gusts reaching as high as 20 mph, according to National Weather Service (NWS).
Tonight, the NWS expects the skies to remain clear, as temperatures dip to a mild 67 degrees with a consistent south southeast wind at around 11 mph. Heading into Sunday, sunny weather continues to be the norm, with a high again flirting with the 88-degree mark. Those venturing outside will experience south winds at 11 to 14 mph, and gusts could potentially amp up, to as high as 21 mph.
Moving into the workweek, Monday's outlook remains unblemished by clouds with daytime highs expected to sustain in the high 80s. A light south wind around 7 mph will accompany what seems to be an unrelenting stretch of clear skies. However, a change might be on the horizon as Tuesday ushers in a 20 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m., slightly cooling temperatures to a high near 84 degrees.
The midweek forecast hints at a mix of sun and clouds, not enough to interrupt the series of pleasant days. Wednesday and Thursday offer up high temperatures hovering around the 80 and 81-degree marks, respectively, with nights expected to settle in the low 60s. "Friday continues the trend of sunny weather, with a high near 83," the NWS report states.
