
Shoreline residents were woken in the early morning hours by the sound of gunfire, which tragically resulted in one person's death. According to KOMO News, the King County Sheriff’s Office received calls about gunshots near Whitman Avenue North and N 202nd St. at approximately 1:35 a.m. Officers found the victim, already mortally wounded, in the street.
Despite efforts by deputies and medics, the person was pronounced dead at the scene. FOX 13 Seattle reports that life-saving measures were attempted to futilely try to save the individual. The identity of the victim has not been released to the public as the investigation continues.
The area surrounding the Costco warehouse where the shooting occurred remains a focal point for the King County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit. As noted by KING 5, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, leaving the community in search of answers and justice for the victim.
Local authorities are reaching out to the public for any information that may aid in capturing those responsible for this violence. The King County Sheriff’s Office has yet to release further details about potential suspects or motives behind the deadly altercation.
