
A serious apartment fire occurred today in northeast Charlotte, resulting in one individual being injured. Emergency crews responded to a two-story building on the 1900 block of Terrybrook Lane, where smoke was visible, according to QC News.
One person sustained serious burn injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, WCNC reported. Charlotte Fire crews brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes, preventing it from spreading to nearby units.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and it is currently unclear if any charges will result from the incident. The identity of the injured individual has not been released. Firefighters reported seeing smoke upon their arrival.
