Starting in February 2026, travelers will be able to fly nonstop from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Tokyo's Narita International Airport (NRT), marking this route as the first-ever direct passenger flight connecting Florida with the Asia Pacific region. According to FOX 35 Orlando, the new service, managed by ZIPAIR Tokyo, will commence with four round-trip flights on February 23, February 28, March 5, and March 10 of that year, with tickets expected to go on sale in December 2025.
The airline, known for its budget-friendly approach in air travel, plans to operate the flights using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner crafts, these crafts feature both standard economy and the plush “Zip Full-Flat” business class as WESH reported, the flights will depart from Narita in the afternoon and, thanks to time zone differences, also arrive in Orlando the same afternoon, this can set a precedent for regular scheduled flights in the future if the initial charter flights are successful.
Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, stated, "The partnership is a testament to the economic strength we share between our communities," as mentioned at a conference attended by government officials, corporate leaders from Disney, and tourism executives in Tokyo, as detailed by WESH. ZIPAIR President Shingo Nishida shared similar sentiments, "extremely proud" of the new service, affirming Orlando's appeal due to its numerous world-class theme parks.
