An Otsego County man has found luck on his side after winning a substantial Club Keno The Jack prize of $564,219 from the Michigan Lottery. The 45-year-old winner, electing to remain anonymous, purchased the golden ticket at Gaylord South EZ Mart, which is situated on South Otsego Avenue in Gaylord, as reported by CBS News Detroit.
The man's strategy is to play Club Keno occasionally and only invests in The Jack when the prize pot exceeds $100,000. "I bought a ticket for 30 draws, and when I got home, I decided that if the draws were still going, I would go somewhere to have a drink and watch the rest," he relayed in a statement. The resultant win left him initially downcast upon believing he had missed his chance, only to be "stunned" upon the revelation that he was the actual jackpot winner, according to WZZM 13.
To claim his prize, the individual visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters with plans to invest his newfound wealth. The Jack, a game that players can add to their Club Keno wager for an additional $1 per draw, begins with a jackpot of $10,000 that grows until a winner is drawn. The odds are simple – match all nine numbers, and the jackpot is yours. According to Michigan Lottery Connect, this particular prize-winner overcame the odds with an easy pick selection of numbers: 11-23-25-26-29-46-55-59-75.
