The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is increasing patrols this Halloween weekend to help ensure safety for trick-or-treaters. According to a Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, deputies will conduct extra patrols throughout local communities and will also hand out treats during the festivities.
Several safety reminders are shared in the same post, including urging drivers to slow down and watch for children, advising that children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult, and recommending the use of glow sticks or flashlights to improve visibility. They also encouraged parents to make sure costumes fit properly and allow clear vision to help prevent accidents.
Deputies will be present in neighborhoods throughout the weekend to assist residents and maintain a safe environment for Halloween activities.
