North Las Vegas is set to welcome back the “Paws in the Park” event for its sixth year on October 25. Organized by the City of North Las Vegas in partnership with Ward 4 Councilman Richard Cherchio, the Halloween-themed celebration promises a fun-filled day for pets and their owners alike, as per the city's announcement.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the lush Aliante Nature Discovery Park, attendees can look forward to a lineup of pet-focused activities, including a Halloween dog costume contest and a dog-and-human twinning competition. The event will also feature games, community resource booths for pet owners, and Halloween-themed decorations to complete the festive atmosphere.
Hearts Alive Village will be present to provide practical services like on-site vaccinations and microchipping for the furry participants. However, pet owners looking to have their pets microchipped should note that appointments are required. As per the City of North Las Vegas, appointments can be secured by calling 702-780-0002, so dial in before spots run out.
