Recent developments in the case shed light on the nature of the interaction between Scott and King before Scott's disappearance; text messages from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4 showed the two had planned to meet on the evening she went missing, Scott texted "kidnap me again" at 10:07 p.m., to which King replied, "better be up too," these exchanges were disclosed in court documents obtained by FOX 29. The District Attorney's Office underscored its commitment to justice, with Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore stating on social media, "We will continue to pursue justice for Ms. Scott, her family, and all victims of crime," as per 6ABC.
It was confirmed by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office earlier this week that female remains found in a shallow grave were those of Scott, the medical examiner ruled the manner of death as a homicide, this announcement came prior to the filing of the murder charge against King, as detailed in a report by ABC News.
