A Phoenix man stands accused of a violent confrontation that escalated into a triple shooting, with a grand jury indicting him on multiple felony charges. Daniel Cornell Hall, 31, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and then shot her along with two of her relatives, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix.
The incident occurred on September 13 at the Delano Place apartments near 48th and Culver streets. Phoenix police arrived just before 1 p.m. to find the three victims with gunshot wounds, yet all are expected to survive their injuries. According to the girlfriend's account, Hall appeared at her residence after previously assaulting her, initiating an argument with her cousin that culminated in gunfire. As she dialed 911, she reported hearing multiple gunshots, per AZ Family.
Charged with one count of aggravated assault (domestic violence), two counts of aggravated assault, one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm, and one misdemeanor count of assault, Hall is facing serious time if convicted. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office provided the specifics of the indictment, where shots were fired after an assault that turned into an alarming domestic incident.
Following the shooting, Hall reportedly fled the scene but was apprehended shortly afterwards by law enforcement. He's being held on a $250,000 bond. "According to the girlfriend, the defendant showed up at the apartment after assaulting her and began to argue with her cousin," MCAO said in a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix. His trial is tentatively scheduled for January 27, 2026, adding another chapter in what has become a gruesome narrative of domestic violence spilling into public violence.
