A Phoenix man, known for his involvement with local youth groups, has been taken into custody on charges linking him to child sex trafficking and the production of child sexual abuse material. The arrest of Casey Goslin, 46, comes after federal agents discovered his participation in an online platform notorious for livestreamed child abuse. The platform reportedly featured victims trafficked from the Philippines.
As reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, Goslin was arrested on October 16, with the investigation having been initiated in January 2024 by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It was found that Goslin, while working closely with children as a youth ministry leader across various religious organizations, allegedly operated under two usernames on the illicit platform. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents executed a federal search warrant, leading them to seize multiple electronic devices that are said to contain evidence of the alleged crimes.
In the wake of these revelations, authorities are now urgently reaching out to anyone whose children may have interacted with Goslin. Tom Martinez, a neighbor, expressed his shock at the charges during an interview obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, revealing the distressing proximity of the alleged predator to local children. "This guy lived two houses from me and those people, their kids are small, I mean that's not good. A lot of people are gonna be shocked," Martinez said. This instance underscores the inherent dangers when predators manage to insert themselves into positions of trust within our communities.
The Grand Canyon Synod, part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, where Goslin was involved, has acted, stating Goslin "has been suspended from all roles in the synod," professing a zero-tolerance stance on abuse, particularly against children. This statement was shared via FOX 10 Phoenix. In an effort to aggressively pursue justice and identify any further potential victims, ICE is urging parents to contact law enforcement if their children had any contact with Goslin. Special Agent Lance Leising reinforced this urgency in a statement also obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix: "Which indicates that there are potentially a lot more victims out there and they're looking to identify those, add charges, build the case, make sure justice is served for all those potential victims."
Those with any information are strongly encouraged to immediately call the ICE tip line at 866-DHS-2-ICE or fill out an online form provided by the agency. Additionally, any suspected child sexual exploitation or missing children can be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's toll-free, 24-hour hotline at 800-THE-LOST. These details were further highlighted in an article by ABC 15.
