The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is setting the stage, not for pomp and circumstance, but for a celebration of paws and dutiful barks, as they announce the graduation of three new K-9 teams. According to their social media post, the community is invited to witness the spectacle on November 4th at 7 PM at England Brothers Park.
There will be no traditional caps and gowns at this graduation. Instead, attendees can expect a high-octane display of the K-9s' crime-fighting abilities. "Our K-9 graduations feature high-flying action and education as you learn how the K-9 Unit keeps Pinellas safer," the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office promises. Beyond the demonstrations, the event pitches itself as a family-friendly evening, with the office assuring that "kids love, parents love, everybody loves" the chance to see these talented dogs in action.
Putting a canid face to the badge, after the demonstration, the audience will be given a chance to meet the K-9 graduates personally. A hands-on experience with these crime-fighting heroes will be available for all, providing a unique touch to the public safety education on offer.
The event is described as free and open to participants of all ages, underlining the inclusivity the sheriff's office aims for: "Bring the whole family," the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office's Post reads.
