Pittsboro is hosting three Halloween-themed events for youth, organized by the Chatham Community Library at no cost. One of the events is a Teen Halloween Party scheduled for October 28, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Teens aged 12 and older are invited to the Holmes Family Meeting Room at 197 Highway 87 N to wear costumes, play games and compete for prizes.
The library is also hosting a Trick or Treat StoryWalk® on October 30, from 4 to 5 p.m. This event combines a walk along the Roland E. Horne Trail with a Halloween-themed story and trick-or-treating. Costumes are encouraged.
The final event is a Halloween Storytime and Trick or Treat scheduled on October 31, at 10 a.m. It is open to all ages and will take place at the Chatham County Aging Services Center, located at 365 NC-87. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and bring containers for the indoor trick-or-treating following the storytime.
These community events are funded by the Friends of the Chatham Community Library. According to information published today by the Chatham County website, the funding supports local cultural and educational activities for young residents.
