The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an assault that occurred near the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Building in the South Portland Neighborhood on Tuesday.

According to Portland Police Bureau, a Dialogue Liaison Officer responded to the report at South Moody Avenue and South Bancroft Street around 8:59 p.m. The officer attempted to engage the suspect, but she fled the scene. The victim was interviewed, and the case has been referred to the Major Crimes Unit for investigation.

The suspect is described as a white female in her late teens or early twenties with long blonde hair and bangs, a large chrome nose ring, and oversized purple eyeglasses. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a white emblem, loose tan pants, black shoes with white soles, and carrying a gray Jansport backpack.

Police have released photos of the suspect and ask anyone with information to email [email protected] and reference case number 25-269978. The investigation is ongoing in coordination with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
