Young thespians in Raleigh have a new opportunity to shine with Raleigh Little Theater's latest offering, "Act It Out at Halifax." The program is designed to introduce children ages 7 to 10 to the performing arts. According to their website, the class aims to acquaint students with an actor's fundamental tools: body, voice, and imagination, through engaging games and diverse activities that foster skills in improvisation, storytelling, and character creation.
Set in the inviting greenery of Halifax Park, the workshop series is scheduled to run on Mondays from November 3 to December 12, in the early evening hours from 5 to 6 p.m., a timing likely to accommodate the schedules of school-going children eagerly looking to express their creative sides after a day in the classroom. Both residents and non-residents are able to register, though the former enjoy a slightly reduced rate of $135 compared to the $150 fee for non-residents.
