
Selma Rodas Vicente, a 30-year-old woman reported abducted in Raleigh early Saturday, has been found safe in Tennessee. According to abc11, the Ashanti Alert issued for her disappearance was canceled after she was located unharmed. Raleigh Police confirmed the alert had been activated in the morning and lifted by the afternoon.
CBS 17 reported that police were called to an apartment complex on the 5000 block of Windy Hill Drive at around 3 a.m., where they found evidence suggesting an abduction had occurred. Vicente was later found with the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Ismael De Jesus Niz-Miguel, in Tennessee. Police stated that Niz-Miguel is in custody and faces pending charges related to the incident.
At the time of her disappearance, Vicente was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black pants. Authorities described the suspect as a 5’4 Hispanic man with black hair, last seen wearing a blue shirt and shorts. WRAL reported that the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons officially canceled the Ashanti Alert following her safe recovery.
