According to the North State Building Industry Association, the city dominated the charts in August 2025 with a robust 91 new homes sold, leaving other submarkets behind and contributing significantly to the 496 total sales reported across the eight-county area.
City officials attribute this surge in housing sales to Rancho Cordova's strategic development plans focusing on community, which emphasize connecting vibrant neighborhoods and fostering a high quality of life for residents, builders and buyers are flocking to Rancho Cordova for its blend of affordability, recreational options, including parks and schools, and a general commitment to create a wholesome living experience for its citizens. The city's advancements go beyond just numbers; it offers a culturally rich environment complete with annual events like the California Capital Airshow and the Fourth of July Celebration, and residents benefit from an array of year-round activities that encourage communal engagement.
It's not all about housing in Rancho Cordova; the city also takes pride in its diverse economy. Home to more than 3,500 businesses and boasting a growing workforce that now numbers 65,000, the city's economic fabric includes key industries such as technology, health care, clean energy, and manufacturing.
