A home invasion in Ruskin early this morning left one person injured, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). WFLA reports that deputies responded to a 911 call at about 12:44 a.m. in the 400 block of Vine Cliff Street, where they found a victim with non-firearm-related injuries.

The incident remains under investigation. FOX 13 News reported that as of 8:45 a.m., no suspects had been arrested. Deputies are still determining how many people were involved and what led to the break-in.

According to Tampa Bay 28, the victim told officials they were entering their home when three suspects rushed them. The suspects reportedly fired twice at the front door, but the victim’s injuries were not caused by gunfire.

HCSO continues to investigate and asks anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to contact authorities.
