Law enforcement agencies in Sacramento County recently carried out a major operation called "Folsom Blues," led by Rancho Cordova PD alongside the Sheriff's Office and District Attorney's Office to target the local drug trade. The operation seized over 360 pounds of methamphetamine, 15 pounds of fentanyl, 5 pounds of heroin, 2 pounds of ketamine, and uncovered an illegal 3D handgun printing operation, bomb-making materials, and $281,000 in cash, as reported by the Rancho Cordova Police Department.
The multi-jurisdiction effort involved coordinated work from various law enforcement personnel across the region. Its goal was to disrupt the flow of illegal narcotics and remove dangerous resources from the community, as stated by the Rancho Cordova Police Department.
The "Folsom Blues" operation involved multiple agencies working to stop drug-related activities in Sacramento County. The effort uncovered distribution and trafficking networks in the community. According to the Rancho Cordova Police Department on their Facebook page, "The impressive recoveries help ensure these illegal items and associated criminal activities do not find their way into the City of Rancho Cordova." Rancho Cordova Police Department added that "RCPD, SSO, and the other participating agencies remain committed to enhancing public safety and strengthening the security of our communities."
