With Salt Lake City positioning itself as the cultural hub of its region, the local government is channeling funds into the veins of the community's art, culture, and entertainment scene. The Mayor's Office has officially rolled out the application process for the 2026 Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) Grant, a financial boon that promises to inject a staggering $300,000 into local initiatives, according to Salt Lake City.
Starting now through November 1, applicants can vie for individual grants ranging from $500 to $10,000, earmarked for events that encompass cultural programming to education-based festivals and neighborhood congregations, and these grants can be put towards a diverse array of arts and cultural activities, provided they fall within the city's boundaries and align with its strategic objectives. "By the end of 2025, the ACE Grant will have supported 177 community celebrations. That’s almost an event every other day," Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall highlighted, "Each one is a chance to connect with stories, traditions, and joy across our city—and I hope to see that spirit shine even brighter in 2026," as per Salt Lake City.
Prospective grantees must ensure their events take place within Salt Lake City limits and are in line with the City’s vision and values, with a tight deadline set to limit applications until the stroke of midnight on November 1st. The selected recipients of the grant are set to be unveiled in December, just before the year comes to a close.
