A 17-year-old male from San Anselmo has been arrested in connection with a fake bomb threat that led to the evacuation of Archie Williams High School last month. The threat, which was reported at around 9 AM on August 27, prompted a swift response from the Central Marin Police, with support from local fire, sheriff's, and highway patrol units.
According to Central Marin Police, after the school officials received the threat, they didn't waste any time implementing their safety protocols. The entire campus was emptied, and the rest of the day's classes were subsequently canceled, as officers conducted a thorough search, with parents scrambling to get information via the school's channels.
The search wrapped up without any dangerous devices or materials being discovered. After laboring through the investigation, detectives managed to net a suspect, identifying the teenager who was later arrested and booked into the Marin County Juvenile Hall on a charge of making a false bomb threat. The student's identity is being protected due to his juvenile status.
