
A woman has died following a shooting incident on San Antonio's Northwest Side late yesterday evening, according to the San Antonio Police Department. KTSA News reported that the shooting occurred in the 6700 block of Hickory Springs Drive, with police responding to the scene around 10:30 p.m. The victim was seated in a parked vehicle within a driveway when she was approached and fired upon by an individual in a white sedan, being struck multiple times.
KSAT News detailed further that a male emerged from the white sedan, discharging a firearm at the woman's vehicle before fleeing, leaving the area thereafter the woman sustained severe injuries to her neck and shoulder regions and despite rapid transportation to a local hospital she was pronounced dead.
As of now, the identity of the woman as well as her age remains undisclosed by authorities, and the gunman is still at large. Local law enforcement is continuing their investigation into the incident, actively searching for the shooter responsible for this violent act.
The San Antonio Police Department has yet to capture the shooter and urges the public to come forward with any information that could lead to an arrest in this case. No further details regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the tragedy have been released and the name of the deceased will be withheld until the family is notified.
