Raleigh's young children aged 3 to 5 can participate in the Tiny Artists, Big Movements program at Barwell Road Community Center. Scheduled for November 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., the event offers activities that combine art, classical music, and movement. The cost is $5 per child, according to the City of Raleigh.
The sessions begin with a physical warm-up in the gym, featuring activities like running, hopping, skipping, and marching. This movement prepares the children for the focused activities that follow. The program combines active play with learning.
After the gym session, the program moves to the multi-purpose room for a story and craft activity. Each week features a different piece of classical music or a famous artist, introducing preschoolers to cultural works and their stories.
Details for the Tiny Artists, Big Movements program can be found on the official City of Raleigh website. Due to limited availability, parents are advised to register their child early to secure a spot in the program.
